About. The Doctoral Platform is a project that gathers PhD candidates from the IHA and other doctoral programs (philosophy, communication studies, arts and performance) three times a year, and gives them the opportunity of regularly presenting their research projects and engaging in critical debates about research methodologies and non-traditional formats of communicating science through art practices. The transdisciplinary approach to research is a key-aspect of the Platform and is reinforced both by the heterogeneous background of its PhD candidates and the senior researchers that are invited to guide each session. The Doctoral Platform invites national and international researchers coming from the fields of art history, fine arts, sociology of art and critical studies, with solid research and teaching experience within and outside academia. The two-days sessions are a suitable occasion for PhD candidates to share their research with peers and receive the expertise of invited guests, who kindly present their work as well. Moreover, the Doctoral Platform aims to be a project where researchers have the chance to find common interests and develop future projects. |
